Al-Kafi was compiled by ash-Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Kulayni (d. 329 AH / 941 CE). It gathers 14,239 hadiths arranged across 33 books of the Sunnah. One of the Four Books (al-Kutub al-Arba‘a), the foundational hadith collections of the Ithna-ashari tradition; al-Majlisi's grading of each chain is shown where recorded. Every hadith below is given in the original Arabic with an English translation, and each book opens as its own page.
