What the Service is

The Service offers Islamic tools: prayer times, Qibla direction, the Hijri calendar, reading and listening to the Quran, hadith collections, supplications, Zakat, Khums and inheritance calculators, and other aids to daily practice. It is offered free of charge, as sadaqah jariyah, with no advertising and no paid tier.

A free service, provided as is

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". The Union does not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Prayer times are computed astronomically with the method you choose. Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar; a start of month announced by the Union or your Marja' after moon sighting prevails.
• The Zakat, Khums and inheritance calculators are calculation aids. They cover the common cases, under the rules stated on each tool, and do not replace the advice of a qualified scholar for your own situation.
• Religious content (translations, tafsir, hadith, rulings) is shown with its sources. Read it with discernment and, when in doubt, ask your scholars.

Acceptable use

You agree not to disrupt the Service, not to try to reach data that is not yours, not to overload the servers or the third-party services the Service queries with automated traffic, and not to use the Service to spread content that is unlawful or contrary to Islamic ethics.

Member account

• The member space is for members of the Union and the people it admits. You provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential; activity carried out with your account is treated as yours.
• You can enable two-factor authentication and revoke connected devices at any time from your space.
• The Union may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or at your request.

Intellectual property and sources

The Quranic text, translations, tafsir, hadith collections, supplications and city data come from the open third-party sources credited in the legal notice; each remains under its own licence. The Service's own texts, visual identity and organisation belong to the Union. The site's source code is published under an open licence.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Union is not liable for indirect damage arising from use of the Service, from a calculation error, from unavailability, or from the content of a third-party service the Service links to.

Changes

The Union may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version; using the Service after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Madagascar. Any dispute will first be addressed amicably with the Union.
