    1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Ishaq ibn Jarir who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the meat that remains between the teeth. He (the Imam) said, ’What is between the front teeth you can eat; but what is between the back teeth you must throw it away.’”

    2. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from ibn Mahbub from ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘What is in gingival (front gums) swallow it and what is between the other teeth throw it away.’”
