Surah Al-Ala سُورَةُ الأَعۡلَىٰ Surah Al-Ala is the 87th surah of the Quran. Its name means “The Most High”. It is a meccan surah of 19 verses, opening in juz 30 on page 591 of the mushaf. Below is the full Arabic text in Uthmani script with an English translation for every verse.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى١ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ٢ وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ٣ وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ٤ فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ٥ سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ٦ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ٧ وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ٨ فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ٩ سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ١٠ وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى١١ ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ١٢ ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ١٣ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ١٤ وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ١٥ بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا١٦ وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ١٧ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ١٨ صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ١٩
Translation, verse by verse 87:1 Celebrate the Name of your Lord, the Most Exalted,
87:2 who created and proportioned,
87:3 who determined and guided,
87:4 who brought forth the pasture
87:5 and then turned it into a black scum.
87:6 We shall have you recite [the Quran], then you will not forget [any of it]
87:7 except what Allah may wish. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden.
87:8 And We shall ease you into facility.
87:9 So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial:
87:10 he who fears [God] will take admonition,
87:11 and the most wretched will shun it
87:12 —he who will enter the Great Fire,
87:13 then he will neither live in it, nor die.
87:14 ‘Felicitous is he who purifies himself,
87:15 celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays.
87:16 But you prefer the life of this world,
87:17 while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.’
87:18 This is indeed in the former scriptures,
87:19 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
